A major afflunent of the río Trancura, the cold, clea-flowing Liucura is a local favorite among fishermen and kayakers.

Lago Caburgua- Rio Liucura. from Pucón (0 km) head east on the paved road towards Caburgua, taking the second major right after the Río Liucura bridge, which climbs 10 km to Paillaco. From here you can climb the steep switchbacks to Lago Tinquilco and parque nacional Huerquehue (5km) or continue south to an intersection with the road up the upper Liucura (4 km). Finish by turning left to the hotsprings of the upper Liucura Valley (4 to 10 km) or returning downvalley to Pucón.
